Do You Have a Feng Shui Money Door?

The Feng Shui discipline is full of strange and complex names, but only a few stand out as much as the highly coveted “Money Door.” Contrary to popular belief, not every door is a Money Door, nor can you turn any door into a Money Door. It is a rare and wonderful occurrence that favors some buildings and not others. Only about 10% of buildings have a natural Money Door…

How to Buy a Good Feng Shui House

As the real estate market improves, I find myself property-scouting with clients more and more often for properties to buy and live in. But to find a good Feng Shui house “as is” is rather complicated, mostly because Feng Shui was only introduced to the U.S. on a large scale very recently; hence, most houses were not designed with keeping Feng Shui principles in mind. So, how to buy a good Feng Shui house?

Bad Office Feng Shui

I was in Diamond Bar last week for an Asian business owner looking to relocate his national business headquarters to an upscale area. He really liked the prospected building, especially the fact that other big and famous companies were in the process of just moving in as well, and so he felt good about joining them. However, he had some concerns about the “space” per se. As you may have guessed, it was bad office Feng Shui. Read more about

Can Feng Shui Help After a Divorce?

These days it appears that statistically speaking, one in two marriages ends in divorce. Regardless of the reason for the split, most of us feel like they have lost their “other half” after a divorce. How can Feng Shui help you get back on track and be the YOU that you probably haven’t been in a while—or perhaps even become the “NEW YOU” you can now be?

The Feng Shui of Murder Houses

I was reading about the Pennsylvania case of a woman who found out after purchasing a rather expensive property that the seller purposely concealed the fact that the house was the setting of a murder-suicide. If you have found yourself stuck with an expensive property (or any property) with a tragic past, what do you do? Well, you could…

Feng Shui For Investment Property

I recently did a consultation for a large apartment complex in Alhambra, just purchased by an investment company. Concerned about the local predominant presence of a strong Asian community, my client wanted to ensure that all “cultural requirements” were addressed during the renovation. So, you might ask, is the Feng Shui of a property someone is buying for investment purposes only (a.k.a. business gain) important? Read more about Feng Shui for Investment Property

Feng Shui Consultation and Yearly Update

Also known as a Yearly Update, this shorter yearly follow-up consultation is designed to address the interaction of an existing structure with the New Year’s “entering” Qi (Life Force Energy). It is different from a Comprehensive Consultation and Yearly Updates should be done only as follow-ups. Each building is like a person whose physical constitution can be strong (and healthy) or weak (and unhealthy).

Feng Shui for Apartments vs. Houses

As you read this, I am currently reviewing an 85-unit apartment building to be built on the Hudson River facing Manhattan. To maximize the real estate potential and the view, the building’s shape is extremely irregular and confusing, causing all sorts of weird shapes in the apartments. Apartment (or condo) living poses a question for all Feng Shui students: do I read the main complex, or do I read the individual unit?

A Feng Shui Renovation Gone Wrong

I was in Diamond Bar, California last week for an emergency call by a new client, a fast-growing technology company that has been in business for 7 years. The owners requested my professional opinion on a problem surged right after completing a remodeling 2 months earlier, when their business suddenly started registering a loss. Here is what I found…Read more about A Feng Shui Renovation Gone Wrong

Feng Shui Dream House

A few days ago I did a walkthrough for a new property under construction in the South Orange County/North San Diego area. What was so special about it? It came after a long search, but it was all worth it because it was my client’s Feng Shui dream house.

Another Feng Shui Dream House...  in the Heart of Texas!

When I first visited Melody and David two years ago, they were the enthusiastic new owners of a comfortable country property that they were ready to turn into a goat dairy farm. After brainstorming with Feng Shui and design for two intensive days with them, I came back to L.A. and patiently waited for an update on the status of the remodel. The plan was to do a cosmetic renovation so they could move in “pronto.” Then life took another turn… Read more to find out why

Feng Shui Renovations 101

I consulted on a house built in 1943 in San Diego whose energy was rather nice and supportive to the owners. Renovation was needed to fit a modern 2011 lifestyle. So, they ask for my professional opinion as Feng Shui consultant. After running an analysis we figured out that in changing the energy from 1943 to 2011 it would turn the Feng Shui of the house from "good" to "bad". So what should the owner do?

Dubai & Feng Shui

Most of you have probably heard about the stunning Palm Tree Islands and The World Islands that are all visible from outer space, or perhaps Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world (designed by the Chicago-based architectural firm Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill). Yes, you can see it in the picture, and no, it's not that the adjacent buildings are small, it is the Burj that is really, really tall.
Well, here are some of my other Feng Shui findings in Dubai...

Feng Shui Houses That Are Good for You

When I talk about "building-person compatibility" I refer specifically to how the energy of a building supports-- or antagonizes-- the person living or working in it. Yes, the energy of a building can in fact support you or sabotage your efforts in reaching your goals. How do you know if a building is good for you or not, and how can a Feng Shui consultant correct it?

Can You Feng Shui a Wine?

A few days ago I was visiting Napa Valley (for those of you not familiar with California, it is North of San Francisco and in the West area of the U.S.) to see new clients and was given the rare opportunity to do a reading on a very well known winery.
So, what is that makes a wine special from Feng Shui standpoint? Read more on How to Feng Shui a Wine

What can Feng Shui do for you?

Max and his wife are ready to move out from a house that caused them so many problems and buy a new one. As they and I were walking through one of the new properties they were considering he also disclosed to the real estate agent that I was the Feng Shui Master Consultant advising him on his purchase.
And guess what happened?

How to Select a Feng Shui Consultant

I had just been hired to review the plans for a new, sizable property in the West Los Angeles area. The design has been done by one of the most eminent authority in the filed of architecture. How can one ever feel comfortable having to make Feng Shui recommendation for a work of art?

Foreclosures: Bad Feng Shui?

Considering the current real estate situation where more and more houses are being placed on the market seemingly by the minute, I have been often asked to consult on behalf of concern buyers on how good it is for them to buy a house that has seen foreclosures issues. Treacherous and touchy territories, but I’ll attempt to answer.

Feng Shui in Business

I have often talked about the importance of been prepared– meaning being "business prepared–" when beginning a new business endeavor. In that sense, utilizing Feng Shui's principles in an office or a business location is part of being prepared to eliminate blockages in the energy that could prevent you and your business from achieving the goals you’re setting out to accomplish.
